What is Manufacturing System?

Manufacturing System is used to manage end to end manufacturing process which includes but not limited to procuring raw material, managing raw material, production, finished goods inventories and warehousing, transportation of goods. Manufacturing System caters both, raw materials and finished goods. Warehouse, Cold Chain and Batch Management are sub functions of Manufacturing System and can be used as per business needs. Inventory scope covers, Stock in (Goods Receive GRN) , Stock out (Good Issue GI) , Stock on Hand (SOH), Demand and Supply Planning. Warehouse Management covers, position of stock at particular bay/aisle, Rack and Shelf for stock placement and stock picking. Cold Chain is sub part of Warehouse Management, with temperature information. Batch management is usually used for medicines and inventories that need record and information on expiry. Manufacturing plant input and out, including wastage record. In advance versions, machinery lifecycle also maintained in this system.
